Parish Pastoral Council

The Parish Pastoral
Council consists of two representatives from each standing
committee and two members appointed by the pastor. Both
elected and appointed members will serve three-year terms.
No one may serve more than two consecutive terms.

Nominations solicited for openings on each
committee,

Each nominee is contacted to determine willingness to
serve,

Summary of candidates presented to the Parish at Sunday
liturgies,

Election by written ballot at Sunday
liturgies.
Parish
Standing Committees
Each committee
consists of 12 members who serve three-year terms. Each
committee will establish a regular meeting schedule, select
a chairperson and secretary, and elect two representatives
to serve on the Pastoral Council.
Hospitality
Committee
This
committee coordinates the ministry of hospitality. They
provide a welcome table one weekend a month to register new
parishioners and answer questions about parish life. They
also coordinate parish social events, including the Epiphany
Celebration, the St. Patrick's Day Dinner-Dance, the
International Dinner and special receptions.
Education
Committee
This
committee sets direction and implements programs for various
parish educational efforts, including all sacramental
preparation, the School of Religion, and Adult Education.
The committee provides educational programs and information
on social issues and concerns. It also works with the
Epiphany Parents' Association and the School
Administration.
Temporal
Affairs Committee
This
committee oversees financial matters for the entire parish
and is responsible for updating the five-year maintenance
plan for all parish facilities.
Youth
Committee
This
committee oversees the Youth Ministry program of the parish,
including the parish sports program.
Worship
Committee
This
committee oversees the liturgical and prayer life of the
parish. It coordinates all special liturgies and
periodically reviews the liturgical life of the parish.
