To All our Parishioners...

Church of the Epiphany is one of the most vibrant parishes in the Archdiocese of San Francisco. The liturgies and fellowship are well planned and implemented.

Our Advent preparations, novena of masses, Christmas, New Year’s and The Feast of the Epiphany celebrations were so successful and well coordinated by the different commissions.

My heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all our ministries, religious groups and originations leaders for your active participation and dedication. You are such wonderful parishioners, thanks to all our parishioners for your prayers and gifts to our church.

God bless and guide us always as we welcome the New Year 2009 and let us thank God for his wondrous blessings and love.

Fr Eugene Tungol

Reflections GOSPEL: Mark 1:7-11
In this reading we have the story of Jesus’ baptism by John the Baptist in the Jordan River . Even though Jesus was the Messiah and God’s beloved Son, he went to John the Baptist to be baptized. As Jesus came out of the water, a voice from heaven declared, “You are my beloved Son.” God’s approval and blessing was on Jesus.

A new beginning and new blessings have come to us in Jesus, God’s only Son. When we were baptized, we truly became daughters and sons of God and followers of Jesus. Let us ask Jesus to help us to share his work as God’s friends.

1.) What are some ways we can live out our baptismal promises?

2.) As a baptized member of the Church, what do you think is God’s plan for you?
