Reflections
GOSPEL:
Matthew 9:3---10:8
This gospel reading gives us a glimpse
into the heart of Jesus. When he saw the
crowds who had come to hear him speak, we
read that his heart was moved with pity
because they were troubled and
abandoned, like sheep without a
shepherd. Jesus couldnt leave
them like that. He had to do something! So
he gathered helpers, the apostles, and
sent them out to care for the people. He
told them: Without cost you have
received; without cost you are to
give.
1.) The
month of June is traditionally celebrated
as the month of the Sacred
Heart. The Sacred Heart of Jesus is
a devotion. This devotion reminds us that
Jesus loves us, and wants to care for us.
He wants us to love and care for one
another.
2.) How
are we each a sheep in the flock of Jesus?
How can we be like Jesus and let our
hearts be moved with pity for others in
need?
